Departure with the retreat

To take its retreat requires to have reached the lawful age. The possibility of retirement varies from one regime to the other, but also according to specific mailmen to each career. Here various cases of figure:

The general scheme

The lawful age

For the general scheme (that of paid), the lawful age of retirement is fixed at 60 years. To profit from a retreat with full rate, a person must add up 160 quarters of contribution. From 65 years, the retreat with full rate is granted without condition.

However the full rate of 50% is automatically granted before 65 years even if the number of acquired quarters is lower than 160, for the following cases:

- people having started to work before 16 or 17 years and justifying of a long career (as from 56 years)

- handicapped workers (as from 55 years)

- people inapt for work (as from 60 years)

- recipients of a disablement pension (as from 60 years)

- war veterans, prisoner of war, deportees or internees policy or of resistance, working mothers… (as from 60 years)

Increase in the duration of contribution

For the employees reaching 60 years between 2009 and 2012, the number of years of contributions will increase at a rate of one quarter a year and per year of birth to reach 164 quarters.
As from 2012, it will evolve/move according to the life expectancy.

From 60 years, if you miss quarters to validate your retreat, you can ask for your retreat, which in this case will be calculated starting from an undervalued rate.

The supplementary pension

The supplementary pension is granted without decrease as from 65 years under only condition of having ceased any community activity, but also before 65 years if you to profit from the basic retreat of the social security with full rate.

The anticipated retirement

For the employees not profiting from a specific regime, it is possible to leave in anticipated retirement as from 50 years, according to the type of anticipated retirement which can be to him granted.
The departure in anticipated retirement is forwarded to condition and is not accessible to all the employees, it depends primarily on the followed occupation but also on the firm.

Within the framework of an anticipated retirement engaged to avoid a dismissal, the employee must be at least 57 years old. The regime of the officials

The lawful age

The officials profit from different conditions of age for the retirement. To profit from a retirement pension, they must be erased executives as a preliminary. The civil officials can ask for their retreat at the end of 15 years of actual service.
For the officials meeting a condition of age, the age of retirement is 60 years in the general case and 55 years for those which achieved 15 years of service in an employment classified in the active category.

For certain employment, such as the teachers, the age of retreat is lowered at 55 years and for the professions such as police officers or prison warders, the retirement is possible as from 50 years.

The officials are put at the retreat of office at 65 years within the general framework or at 60 years if they carried out an employment classified in the active category.

The early retirement

The anticipated retirement is possible at any age and without condition of duration:
- if you are erased executives for disability.

- after 15 years of service, if you or your spouse are recognized inapt for the exercise of an unspecified profession.

- after 15 years of service and under certain conditions: if you are father or mother of at least 3 children, or if you raised children during at least 9 years, or if you have a child of more than one year reached of a disability at least equal to 80%.

- before 60 years under a long career.

Special diets

The age of retirement is different also for the special diets, thus one will note that a supervisor of the SNCF can leave in retreat at 50 years after 25 years service.
